Beyond innovation, Gjenge Makers is deeply committed to people. Their work has already created 600 jobs for women, youth groups, and garbage collectors—offering both income and dignity. Every step on these eco-friendly pavers is a reminder that waste can be reimagined, and that small changes underfoot can lead to cleaner, greener futures for us all.
EveryStylishGirl
EveryStylishGirl is a media company that exists to open doors. Focused on supporting Black and Brown creative professionals, they provide access to job opportunities across fashion, beauty, and media. Each year, their Sip N’ Slay conferences bring together hundreds of creatives to connect directly with industry leaders—helping them sharpen their craft, expand their networks, and push their careers forward. At its core, EveryStylishGirl is about visibility, community, and ensuring that talent doesn’t go overlooked.

AfroStyle Magazine
AfroStyle Magazine is dedicated to showcasing African fashion in its full expression—celebrating its artistry, craftsmanship, and influence on global trends. From highlighting contemporary African designers shaping European and Western fashion to covering culture, arts, entertainment, and tourism, the magazine is more than just a style guide. It is a cultural record and platform for voices shaping what African fashion means today and tomorrow.
Higher Hope Foundation
The Higher Hope Foundation was created to stand with families in their darkest hours. When violent crime or the disappearance of a loved one shatters lives, the Foundation provides financial support, advocacy, and a pathway to resources. They also partner with like-minded nonprofits to extend their reach. Through grant funding and community support, Higher Hope offers families not only aid but also the reassurance that they do not have to face tragedy alone.
Saathi
Founded in 2015 by graduates of MIT and Nirma, Saathi set out to rethink menstrual hygiene. Their solution: fully compostable sanitary pads made from locally sourced banana fiber in Gujarat, India. With a mission rooted in sustainability and health, Saathi produces eco-friendly products that are kind to the body, to the environment, and to the communities they serve. At the heart of their work is a commitment to improving access to safe, dignified hygiene for women in India and beyond.
The Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation carries forward the vision of its founder: that no one, regardless of wealth or circumstance, should go blind from a preventable condition. Today, the organization works around the world to eliminate avoidable blindness and to improve Indigenous health in Australia. By combining medical expertise with a focus on equity, they bring affordable, high-quality eye care to those who need it most.
